This is without a doubt one of the best recipes I have ever tried!!! So here is the story: On Thanksgiving I worked up this recipe for all the in-laws. Their was a good crowd of people. When I brought the ka-bobs in from outside on a plate I told everyone they were sirloin ka-bobs. Well they got devoured pretty fast. I had a few relatives ask me how I cooked such great ka-bobs. I played along with them all and let them eat and enjoy. About 30 minutes after all the food was gone and we were sitting down to eat the big feast I broke the news... They were all amazed at how good it was. Some of them told me that they would have not tried it if they had known it was duck. Yes this recipe is that good!
Duck Ka-Bobs
1. Cut duck breasts into 1/4 or 3/8 inch strips (I do this when I clean them after hunting)
2. Marinate in Tiger Sauce (75%), Teriyaki sauce (25%) and Tabasco sauce (splash in whatever you feel good about)
3. Let sit overnight or at least a few hours
4. Cut bacon strips into 3 sections and fold the duck strip over with the bacon strip.
5. Stick em on the skewer with a gold or orange bell pepper chunk between each morsel.
6. This is the most important part - sprinkle the meat with Johnny's pork, chicken & turkey seasoning (orange label).
7. Cook fast and hot. When the bacon is cooked, the duck usually is too.
8. Eat it fast and hot too!
Thanks to R. Jefre Hicks for the recipe.
